Sullivan William J. Bill Age 87, Tuesday October 9, 2012, Late of White Cloud Michigan. Born in Chicago on March 25, 1925. Bill lived in the Lockport Chicago area most of his life before moving to White Cloud MI in 1989. Leo High School and DePaul University graduate. Bill served his country in WWII as a Sergeant in the Army Corps of Engineers in Europe and the Pacific from 1943 until 1946. Employed by the State of Illinois for 20 yrs retiring in 1988. Member of the Newaygo VFW Post 4249 (MI), Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul II Council 13939 (MI), AARP, Charter Member of Boys Town, St. Joseph Church (MI), St Jude Church, New Lenox 500 Club. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Mariel (Nee Connett), infant daughter Mariel, son Terrance, grandsons Daniel and Jeremy Collins, daughter -in -law Paula (Bryan) Sullivan, his parents Alexander and Johanne (Rogers), his sister Mary Ann (Sullivan) Breen, brother -in-law Norman Breen, and nephews Timothy and Norman Skip Breen. Survived by his children William (Ruth), Eugene (Sharon), Alexis (Rodney) Zaletel, Mariel (Paul) Kobylarczyk, Bryan (late Paula), Maura (Matthew) Chellino, Monica (late James) Collins, Thomas (Josephine). Bill also is survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great -grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Hospice of Michigan. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at St. Jude Church, New Lenox where family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
