William T. Long, age 73 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Bill was born on April 6, 1935 in Redford Township, Michigan to Harold and Irene (Covell) Long. Bill has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 36 years when he moved from the Livonia area and had been a self employed truck driver until his retirement in 1983. Bill married Joan Fairbanks in August 1956 in Angola, Indiana and she preceded him in death. He met and later married Claudia Johnston on October 2, 1982 in White Cloud. Bill enjoyed working around his home, gardening, and golfing. He is survived by his wife, Claudia of White Cloud; 8 children, Michell, Barbara, Roschell, Tina, Everyl, Jamie, Harold, William; 6 step children, Bobbi, Storm, Clifford, Arnold, Charles; Ellean; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Jerri Jovonavich of Livonia; his brother, Tom Long. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fredrick and Cliff and by his sister, Irene. VISITATION : Wednesday from 12-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
