William Arthur Rossiter, age 81 of Holton, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home. Bill was born on December 25, 1932 in Holton to William and Alcie (Brown) Rossiter and graduated from Holton High School in 1950. Bill later joined the United States Air Force and after his discharge returned home where he reconnected with Doris Bubbles Oslund and they were married on October 13, 1956 in Muskegon. Doris preceded him in death on February 2, 2006. Bill graduated from Michigan Tech University in 1958 with an engineering degree and started work for Buick Motors in Flint where he worked until his retirement in 1987. Bill and Doris moved back to the Holton/Twin Lake area after retirement and had enjoyed spending their winters in Clermont, Florida. Bill enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, golfing, tinkering at his home, was a faithful Detroit Tigers fan, and a member of the Hesperia American Legion. Bill is survived by his sons, William Skip (Ruth) Rossiter of Grand Haven; Dan (Wendy) Rossiter of Flint; Tim (Jeri) Rossiter of West Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Wil, Erin, David, Sean, Chad; his brother, Lyle (Sandy) Rossiter of Holton; his sisters, Yvonne Chum (Leo Brown) Johnson of Norton Shores; Phyllis Damm of Twin Lake; several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Doris on February 2, 2006 and by his sister, Lucylle Szten. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Friday, February 28, 2014 at 4pm with a TIME OF VISITATION starting at 2pm until the time of the services at the Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel..
