Willie James Richardson, age 71 of Baldwin, formerly of Chicago, passed from his life to his heavenly home on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Willie was born on December 30, 1947 in Mobile, Alabama to Ebenezer and Josephine (Fancy) Richardson and later moved to the Chicago area where he had been a city inspector for the City of Chicago and later became a phlebotomist at the Cook County Hospital until his retirement in 2012. Willie had attended the New Mounty Herman Church in Chicago and enjoyed golfing, playing chess and cards, gaming, family reunions and bbq's. Willie was also a veteran of the Vietnam War where he honorably served in the United States Army. Willie married Donna Richardson and together they were blessed with 6 children, Annette, Dequatro, Devonda, Danielle, and Destiny. He later married Denotra and she survived him along with her children, Deondre and Algin. Willie is also survived by his sisters, Anne Holland and Lucile Hampton and his brother, Fred Richardson; sisters-in-laws, Valeria Wooten and Dorie Renee Sanders; brother-in-law, David Earl along with a host of nieces and nephews. Willie was preceded in death by his daughter, Devora Richardson; his parents, Ebenezer and Josephine; by his sisters, Katherine, Evelyn Sally and Esther Mae, Rosierita Richardson.
