Wilmer Nelson "Buckshot, Wil" Combs III, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, formerly of Bitely, Michigan passed away peacefully after a 6 month battle with cancer on May 4 2022 at a hospice center in Summerville, South Carolina. Wil was born on February 25, 1974 in Fremont, Michigan, the first son of Wilmer Jr and Doris (Wilson) Combs. He attended Walkerville Schools and graduated as co-valedictorian in 1992. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and attended Great Lakes training academy. After serving in the Navy, he moved to South Carolina, where he attended Trident Tech for Heating and Air Conditioning and received his Technician Certifications. He was a devoted and loving father with a passion for the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and farming . He provided for his family with his skills of hunting, fishing, and farming. While still holding a full time job at Carrier International. He and his children spent all of their free time working, learning, and being taught about life on the farm in Elloree, South Carolina. He is survived by his children, Raven Elizabeth (Devonte Bryant) Combs of Charleston, South Carolina; Alexis Brianna Combs of Goose Creek, South Carolina; Zachary Irwin Combs of Goose Creek, South Carolina and his bonus daughter Destiny Jane Jackson of Charleston, South Carolina; his siblings, sister - Ruthann Marie (Michael) Nicholson of Muskegon, Michigan, brother - Anthony Wallace Combs of Muskegon, Michigan. As well as his bonus mother, Vivian Easter, his uncle, Fred Wallace (Jessica) Combs of Texas; nephews; Anthony Jr. and Ethan Combs of South Carolina and niece, Zayliey Richards of Muskegon, Michigan. Wil was preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Nelson Combs Jr, as well as his mother Doris Marie (Wilson) Combs.
