Winifred A. Carlson, age 90, of Newaygo passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility. She was born on September 12, 1917, in Iowa and married Vernon Carlson on January 20, 1935 in Newaygo. Winifred is survived by her husband, Vernon; sons, Charles (Wanda) Carlson of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Michael Carlson of Coral, Michigan; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Hilda Kolk of Stony Lake. She was preceded in death by her sister Grace and brother William. Services will be held on the family farm at a later date.
