Austin, Zelma Zelma Austin, age 93 of Fremont , passed away Thursday, June 12, 2003 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont . She was born on April 29, 1910 in Walkerville , Michigan to Louis and Jenny (Doge) Milner and married Robert Austin in May 1930 in Walkerville. Robert preceded her in death on April 18, 1961 . She has been a resident of the Fremont area since 1930 where she had worked in the laundry department at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont until her retirement in 1973. She was a Life Member of the Fremont Moose Ladies Auxiliary #401 where she had been a member for over 50 years. She is survived by her children, Larry (Thelma) Austin of Fremont; Arlene (Art) Tibbe of Fremont; 9 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her sister, Hazel Atwater of Fremont; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1961; a daughter, Helen; her sister, Lottie Hill; 2 grand daughters, Lavon Tibbe, Diane Lynn Austin; and grandson, Dean Austin. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 14, 2003 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Pastor Lucky Fulton of the Amazing Grace Acres Church presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery .
