Linda Lee Johnson

Linda Lee Johnson, age 80 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Corewell Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.  Linda was born on September 26, 1943 in Muskegon to Charles Henry and Bernice Lillian (Kaiser) Proctor and graduated from Reeths Puffer High School in 1962.  Linda met and later married Russell Clinton Johnson on September 2, 1960 in Muskegon and Russell preceded her in death.  Linda has been a lifelong resident of the Muskegon, Holton, Hesperia and Fremont area where she farmed with her husband for many years.  Linda enjoyed putting puzzles together, knitting, reading, camping and farming with Russ.  She enjoyed riding and raising horses and was a 30 year member of the Muskegon County Sheriff's Posse Auxiliary. 

Linda is survived by her daughters, Kim (Jim) Stariha of Fremont; Kris (Bruce) Saum of Fremont; her grandchildren – Taira Stariha; Tyler (Nicki) Stariha; Jacob (Amanda) Saum; Jessica (Kevin) Merrill; Kaylyn Buckner (Mark Nickelson); Andrew Hall; Ashley (Robert) Sholty; great grandchildren – Paige and Shelby Kinsey; Lainey and Kenton Stariha; Emma & Riley Saum; Jailyn Saum; Railee Durham; Natalie & Aiden Merrill; Natalie, Makenzie and Kenadie Buckner; Ian & Haylie Sholty; her great great grandson – Westin Tibbs; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, Betty Smith; Leroy (Barb) Johnson; Bonnie (John) Gorenflo; several nieces and nephews.  Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Johnson on July 12, 2022; her son, Russell “Rusty” Johnson Jr.; her parents, Charles and Bernice Proctor; brothers and sisters-in-laws, August Smith; Dave & Nola Proctor; Jerry & Merle Proctor. 

VISITATION : Monday, April 15, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412.  FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday, April 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel.  INTERMENT : Peaceful Pines Cemetery in Sheridan Township.  Friends may send a condolence or share a memory with the Johnson Family online at www.crandellfh.com.  Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel.
