Geneva Shively Obituary
Geneva Mae Shively, age 39, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon following injuries sustained from a vehicle accident. Geneva was born on October 4, 1981, in Fremont to Jack William and Nancy Jane (Host) Shively and had been an in-home health caregiver. Geneva was a passionate animal rescue advocate and enjoyed karaoke, kayaking, roller skating, coloring, and rock collecting with her girls. She loved the beach, sunsets, watching the stars at night, and cherished her time with her family.
Geneva is survived by her daughters, Mercedes Lane Carr and Alana Lynn Carr-Stevens; her father and mother, Jack William and Nancy Jane (Host) Shively of Fremont; her daughter Alana’s father Matthew Martin-Allen Stevens; aunts and uncles; cousins; and many dear friends. She was preceded by her brother, Jack Daniel Shively; maternal grandparents, Roy and Geneva Host; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Rose Shively; and her daughter Mercedes’s father, Edward Scott Carr.
