Margaret J. Yerkie

Margaret J. Yerkie, age 95 of Satsuma, Alabama, formerly of White Cloud, passed away April 27, 2021 at the SAAD Healthcare Hospice Facility in Mobile, Alabama. Margaret was born on August 12, 1925 in Fremont to John and Cecil Hoppa and later married Bernard Yerkie. Bernie preceded her in death in 1986. Margaret had attended Nyack Bible College in New York where she received her Associated Degree and was a devoted living Christian throughout her life. Margaret moved to Alabama to be closer to family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Janet (David) Patton and their son (Margaret grandson) Andrew Chasity and their son, (great grandson) Brady; her son, Daniel M. Yerkie and his children, (grandchildren) Elizabeth Yerkie; Jason (Meadow) Yerkie and their children (great grandchildren) Lily and Arbor; daughter-in-law, Karen Dykstra and her daughter (granddaughter) Joy Yerkie; sisters, Shelby (Rick) Foster; Mary Sherman; Sandra (Doug) Doland; several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Yerkie; her son, David Yerkie; her granddaughter, Amanda Lee Patton.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11am at the Sherman Township Cemetery 1806 S. Wisner Ave Fremont MI 49412.
